Anu Mehta

Anuradha Mehta (born 8 April 1983) is an Indian actress and former model.

Anu Hasan (born Anuradha Chandrahasan on 15 July 1970) is a Tamil actress and TV anchor. She made her film debut in the critically acclaimed Indira (1995) and has since appeared in many Tamil films, playing predominantly supporting roles. She hosted the celebrity talk show Koffee with Anu on the Tamil channel Vijay for three seasons.

Early life

Anu Hasan was born on 15 July 1970 to Chandra Hasan, elder brother of the National Film Award-winning actor, Kamal Haasan. She was educated at St. Joseph's Anglo Indian Girls Higher Secondary School, Trichy and earned a MSc degree in Physics and Management from Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, Rajasthan.

Anushka Sharma

Anushka Sharma (pronounced [@|nUs.ka: |S@rma:]; born 1 May 1988) is an Indian film actress, producer and former model. In 2008, she was signed by Aditya Chopra for a three-film contract with Yash Raj Films and consequently made her acting debut in Chopra's Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. She later received critical acclaim for her role as an ambitious wedding planner in the 2010 romantic comedy Band Baaja Baaraat. Both films earned her Best Actress nominations at the Filmfare Awards. Sharma later gathered critical appreciation for her performance in the 2012 romantic drama Jab Tak Hai Jaan, which earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress. Due to these prime achievements, Sharma has been noted as one of the most promising new actresses of Hindi cinema.

Amisha Patel

Ameesha Patel (pronounced [@|mi:s.a: p@|t.e:l]; born Amisha Amit Patel on 9 June 1976) is an Indian actress who appears in mainly Bollywood movies and also in Telugu films. Making her acting debut in the blockbuster Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai (2000), Patel won critical praise for her performance in Gadar: Ek Prem Katha (2001), which became one of the biggest hits in the history of Hindi cinema, earning her a Filmfare Special Performance Award. She would subsequently star in a number of films, most of which proved unsuccessful at the box office. However, her performance in the 2006 film Ankahee, received critical recognition and she followed it in 2007 with a supporting/comic role in the multi-starrer hit Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd. and also co-starred opposite Akshay Kumar in the hit Bhool Bhulaiyaa. In 2011, she founded her own production company Ameesha Patel Productions, along with her business partner Kuunal Goomer.

Her relationship with filmmaker Vikram Bhatt was often talked about in the Indian media as well as her long-running rift with her parents.

Chitrangada (born 28 March 1976) is an Indian film actress. She is known for starring in Hazaaron Khwaishen Aisi (2005) and for her first mainstream commercial film, Desi Boyz (2011).

Celina Jaitley

Celina Jaitly (born 24 November 1981) is a Indian actress who mainly appears in Bollywood films. A former beauty queen and model, she was crowned Femina Miss India Universe in 2001.

Jaitley's breakthrough film role was in the 2003 thriller Janasheen. She rose to fame in the late 2000s following roles in the films Silsiilay (2005), No Entry (2005), Tom, Dick, and Harry (2006) and Golmaal Returns (2008).

Early life

Jaitley was born on 24 November 1981, to a Punjabi Indian father and Afghan mother. Her father, V.K. Jaitley, is a retired Indian Army colonel and her mother, Meeta, was a nurse in the Indian army, as well as an Afghan beauty queen.

Bhama (Malayalam: ¾®; Rekhita) is an Indian film actress, who has mainly appeared in Malayalam and Kannada language films. She debuted in 2007 through Nivedyam directed by A. K. Lohithadas.

Hansika Motwani

Hansika Motwani (born 9 August 1991) is an Indian actress who predominantly appears in Tamil and Telugu films. She made her film debut as a leading actress in the Telugu film Desamuduru (2007), winning the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut - South. She then appeared in several high-budget Telugu films, including Kantri (2008) and Maska (2009). She started her career in Tamil cinema with Mappillai (2011) and then appeared in several commercially successful Tamil films including Velayudham (2011), Oru Kal Oru Kannadi (2012), Theeya Velai Seiyyanum Kumaru (2013) Singam II (2013) and Maan Karate (2014) establishing herself as one of the leading contemporary actresses of Tamil cinema.

Gowri Munjal

Gowri Munjal (born in 1985) is an Indian film actress and model. She has frequently appeared in South Indian films and is probably best known for her performance as Mahalakshmi Somaraju in her debut film Bunny.

Career

When she moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in acting, she got to know, that the producers of the Telugu film Bunny were looking for a new face to play the leading female role opposite Allu Arjun. She met the producers and immediately got the role of Mahalakshmi Somaraju, eventually becoming an actress. The film went to become a box office hit, after which she received acting offers from other South Indian film industries as well. She debuted in Kannada in the same year with the film Namma Basava, whilst in Telugu she played leading roles in Sri Krishna 2006 and Gopi - Goda Meedha Pilli.

Amala Paul

Amala Paul is an Indian film actress, who works in the South Indian film industries. After appearing in supporting roles in the Malayalam film Neelathamara and Veerasekaran in Tamil, she received critical acclaim for the portrayal of a controversial character in the film, Sindhu Samaveli. Despite the failure of that film, Amala became noted after playing the title role in Mynaa, receiving critical acclaim for her work.

Alia Bhatt

Alia Bhatt (born 15 March 1993) is an Indian film actress and singer who appears in Bollywood films. The daughter of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and actress Soni Razdan, she made her acting debut with Karan Johar's romantic comedy Student of the Year (2012), a box office success. She subsequently garnered praise for her performances in Imtiaz Ali's road movie Highway (2014) and the highly successful romantic comedy 2 States (2014). These prime accomplishments have established her as one of the most promising newcomers in Bollywood.
